Dear Doc,
I overheard my owner talking about how I was getting too chubby and that she was going to cut my food back once again! EEK! I only get a tiny bit now! It doesn't even cover the bottom of my bucket! I am only 4 years old. There is not much pasture and she gives me hay. Do I need more than what I am getting?
Wanting more,
Chubbs
Dear Chubbs,
Sorry to side with your owner, but if you are getting too chubby, then action needs to be taken so you don't have other complications. But you are right in that you do have basic nutritional needs. However, eating too little of the wrong food will not fulfill these requirements. Seminole has a feed called Equalizer that can solve your problem! Here's why...
- It is heavily concentrated with vitamins, minerals and protein to meet your daily needs
- You only feed 1 pound per day for a 1000 pound horse for maintenance
- It works great for easy keepers because it provides the essentials without added
extra calories - It is low in starch at only 5%!
- Daily feeding costs are low
Again it is called Seminole Feed® Equalizer. I've even attached a photo of the bag so you can leave it lying around to show your owner! It is available at all Seminole Feed® Dealers.
