EQUALIZER

FEEDING DIRECTIONS

Equalizer is a pelleted protein, mineral and vitamin concentrate for mixing with other quality ingredients to provide a nutritionally balanced ration for foals, weanlings, yearlings, broodmares and stallions.  Equalizer is scientifically formulated to prevent nutrition-related developmental problems of foals and to provide an optimum nutrient density for horses’ reproductive, growth and performance requirements.  Feed Equalizer according to the Daily Feeding Guide divided into two or more equal daily feedings.  Provide clean fresh water at all times. After observing or weighing the horse for a period of time, increase or decrease the daily quantity of oats (and/or beet pulp) to obtain the desired body condition or body weight.  Make all feed changes gradually, over a period of 7-10 days.  Changes in feeding rate should not exceed 1 pound per day for an individual horse.  Provide a free-choice mineral supplement on a continuous basis that is made for horses, such as Seminole Grass Balancer 16:8 Horse Mineral.  Equalizer weighs approximately 1.7 lb. per dry U.S. quart.

Feed EQUALIZER with quality grass or grass/legume hay/ forage at the rate of 1 – 2% of the horse’s body weight daily.

 

ท         Beet Pulp can be substituted for oats.  Feed at the rate of 1/3 of the recommend oat level daily.  We recommend soaking
 the beet pulp prior to feeding.

ท         Horses that require a higher caloric intake for performance, weight gain or coat conditioning can be fed Seminole’s ULTRA
BLOOMฎ, a stabilized rice bran supplement at the rate of 1 – 2 pounds per day.

ท         Foals not receiving adequate milk and their dams can benefit from substituting half of the recommended amount of
EQUALIZER with Seminole’s FOAL BALANCER MILK PELLETS.

ท         For creep feeding foals mix ฝ pound of EQUALIZER with ฝ pound of Seminole’s FOAL BALANCER MILK PELLETS and 2
pounds of oats.  Feed only as much of this creep feed mixture as the foal will consume in 24 hours.
